Council of Science & Technology, UP invites applications from
Young Scientists/Faculty members working in research Institutions/Universities/Medical colleges/Engineering colleges and other Scientific Institutions, situated in Uttar Pradesh,
where infrastructure for conducting advanced research is not available, for the award of Young Scientists Visiting Fellowship in Indian Research Institutes/Laboratories to undertake the advanced research in the field of their specialization, specialized training in specific techniques or utilizing facilities not available in their parent institutions.
The Young Scientists holding a regular position in a recognized S&T Institution, University or in a College and having minimum qualification of Ph.D. in any branch of science & technology or MD/ME/M.Tech will be considered in this scheme.
The candidate should be below 40 years on the date on which application is received in the Council. Preference will be given to the candidates from Universities and academic institutions in remote places/inadequately equipped laboratories.
The Fellowship will carry an honorarium of Rs. 5,000.00 per month in addition to the scientist's own salary from his parent institution.
To and fro Rail/Bus fare from the parent organization to the proposed institute of work shall be provided. In addition Rs. 1,500.00 per month will be provided for contingencies.
The applications in, 10 copies, with supporting documents for age proof/address proof/certificates & marksheets of all educational qualifications (attested copies) may be sent to the Director, Council of Science & Technology, "Vigyan Bhawan," 9, Nabiullah Road, Suraj Kund Park, Lucknow-226018 latest by 31st December, 2008.
