Recruitment of 14 Scientists 'B' in the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up fourteen (14) posts of Scientists-B in the pay band of Rs.l5600-391 00/- + Grade Pay of Rs.5400/- in the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) on direct recruitment basis.

5. Classification: General Central Service Group 'A' Gazetted Posts (Non Ministerial,
Scientific & Technical).
6. Method of Recruitment : Direct Recruitment
7. Academic Qualifications:

Essential :

Master's degree in Science/Mathematics/Statistics/Bachelor's
Degree in Engineering or Technology or equivalent from recognized
Universality. (However, Master's degree in Physical Sciences or bachelors
Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Computer/Chemical
Engineering/Technology or equivalent from a recognized University
would be preferred).

Desirable:

Specialized experience in Research and Development/Industrial Academic Institutions and/or Science and Technology Organizations. This experience shall be of a specific nature relevant to the job requirements of the post.

8. Age limit : Not exceeding 30 years which is relaxable for Government
servants up to 5 years and in case of SC/ST/OBC candidates, age relaxation
would be in accordance with the instructions issued by the Central Govt.
from time to time. The crucial date of determining the age shall be the
closing date of receipt of applications from candidates in India (other than
those in the Island Union Territories of Andaman & Nicobar Islands and
Lakshadweep).

9. Career opportunities for scientists in MNRE: A scientist is eligible for
promotIon upto and including the level of Scientist 'G' in the Pay Band of
Rs.37400-67000 + Grade Pay of Rs.I00001- through a merit based
promotion scheme.
