A Walk in test followed by interview (based on test)

Location: IISR Main Campus, Calicut (Pallithazham bus stop- between Moozhikkal East and Chelavoor on the Calicut-Wyanad Road)

Project "Biodiversity in Piper and Garcinia and identification of spots of spices richness in western ghats"

Qualifications:

Essential:
M.Sc (Botany) with specialization in Plant Taxonomy or M.Sc. Biotechnology.

Job responsibilities:
The work involves extensive surveys and periodical stays in forest areas for collection, characterization of samples using biotechnological methods. The selected person will be posted at Expermental Farm, Peruvannamuzhi/ IISR, Calicut.

Desirable :
Work experiences in plant biodiversity related projects.
Experience with GIS and other computer softwares.

Fellowship : Rs. 12,000/- pm + HRA @ 15%

Upper Age Limit : 30 years for men and 35 years for women (Age limits are relaxable for SC, ST and OBC candidates as per Govt. of India norms)

Duration : upto 25-02-2009. (The scheme expires on 25-02-2009)
