International Symposium on Epigenetic Modifications of the Genome: Mechanisms and Implications

Epigenetics has emerged as a central theme in the study of changes in gene activity that are not due to DNA sequence. Epigenetic approaches help us understand how patterns of gene expression are inherited from one cell to its descendants, how gene expression changes during the differentiation of one cell type into another and how environmental factors can reprogram gene expression. The symposium is aimed at addressing these issues and taking stock of the current state of this fast evolving field. Topics to be covered in the symposium include: Epigenetics (-omics) in Development, Nuclear Architecture, Histone Modifications, DNA Methylation, Non-coding RNAs, & Cutting Edging Technologies.
Registration
The Symposium is open to all registered participants. Registration fee, if not paid earlier, can be paid at the time of the Symposium at the registration desk, which will operate in the Centre Court of CCMB from 2.00 PM to 5.00 PM on Friday, February 22, 2009 and 8.00 AM to 10.00 AM in the meeting venue (lobby of IICT auditorium) on Saturday, February 23, 2009. On-the-spot registration will be on a first-come-first served basis subject to seat availability. Cancellation of registration should be sent in writing to the Convener, two weeks in advance. Refunds will be made after the Convention.
