IIT Roorkee invites applications from Indian nationals for faculty positions at the levels of Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor.

Candidates not meeting the requirements of position of Assistant Professor may be considered for appointment as Lecturer on contract.

The Institute intends to fill up around 100 faculty positions through this advertisement in the following Departments/Centers:

Salary

(i)Professor (Rs.18,400-500-22,400);
(ii)Associate Professor (Rs. 16,400-450-20,000);
(iii)Assistant Professor (Rs. 12,000-420-18,300)
Note: Lecturer is not a cadre post. Short duration appointment can be made
on contract basis for an initial period of three years which may be further
extended for a period not exceeding two years.

which may be either downloaded from the website of the Institute or
obtained from the Dy. Registrar (Admn.), IIT Roorkee, Roorkee- 247 667 by
sending self addressed, stamped (Rs10/- or Rs. 27/- if required by registered
post) envelope of size 10” x 4”. The completed application should reach
Deputy Registrar (Admn.), IIT Roorkee, Roorkee-247 667 (Uttarakhand), on
or before 16 February 2009.
