Position 1: Project Fellow (Vacancy code: JDD-B-01) – ONE post
Rs. 16000/- consolidated
Essential Eligibility Requirements: Fresh PhD in Veterinary Sciences OR MVSc in Biotechnology OR MVSc in Veterinary Microbiology OR MVSc in Veterinary Public Health with expertise in cutting edge molecular biology and immunology techniques as evident from good quality dissertation work or research publications. If veterinary
qualified candidates are not available, the appointing authority shall be at freedom to offer this position to equally knowledgeable non-veterinary candidates including those with medical or paramedical qualifications.Fresh MSc qualified candidates need not apply for this post.
Position 2: Laboratory Technician (Vacancy code: JDD-B-02) – ONE post
Total fixed emoluments per month: Rs. 8000/- consolidated
Essential qualifications: Second class BSc degree in Biological Sciences with 3-4 years experience in a scientific laboratory at the level of a general lab support person. The candidate should be able to take care of routine house-keeping tasks in a molecular biology laboratory and should be able to extend help to PhD students
in their experiments. The candidate should be able to fluently communicate in working English and must be computationally qualified at record keeping and/or to perform word processing and/or management of inventories, laboratory observations or raw data etc. BSc Agriculture or equivalent and MSc will be over-qualified for this.B) Positions in Research Scheme entitled “Virtual Centre of Excellence on multidisciplinary approaches aimed at interventions against Mycobacterium tuberculosis” (tenable until December 29, 2013)
Position 3: Junior Research Fellow (Vacancy code: CoE-B2B-01) – ONE post
Total fixed emoluments per month: Rs. 12000/- plus 30% HRA
Essential Eligibility Requirements: MSc in any branch of life sciences with exclusive expertise in molecular genotyping and cloning, expression and purification of tricky and difficult proteins.
Fresh MSc qualified candidates need not apply for this post. PhD candidates shall be treated as overqualified.
Position 4: Laboratory Technician (Vacancy code: CoE – B2B-02) – ONE post
Total fixed emoluments per month: Rs. 8000/- consolidated
Essential qualifications: Same as for Position 2.
