Qualification:-

Essential - MSc first class and Ph.D

Desirable - research experience in Plant Molecular Biology (transgenics/proteomics), Molecular Microbiology, Environmental Sciences or Seaweed taxonomy.

The Discipline of Marine Biotechnology and Ecology of CSMCRI, Bhavnagar is actively engaged in multidisciplinary research in frontier areas of modern biology and biotechnology. Some of the ongoing/new projects (sponsored by CSIR, DBT, DST, etc) of the Discipline for which we wish to recruit 7 Junior Research Fellows are:

· Cloning and characterization of stress-responsive genes, promoter isolation and development of transgenic crop plants

· Climate change and adaptation- Proteomics in relation to climate change variability

· Seaweed cultivation and value addition

· Mapping of marine biodiversity (seaweeds and marine microbes) using molecular tools and techniques
