Applications are invited upto 12th August, 2009 to fill up the vacant post of SCIENTIST ‘D’ in and SCIENTIST ‘C’ at Regional Medical Research Centre (Indian Council of Medical Research), Port Blair as detailed below:-
SCIENTIST ‘D’ Pay Scale : Pay Band-3 of Rs.15600 - 39100 (Grade Pay Rs.7600/-)
ESSENTIAL
(i.) MBBS Degree recognized by MCI or First Class Master's Degree in Life/Biological Sciences from a recognized University Or
Second Class Master's Degree in relevant subjects with Ph.D Degree from a recognized University.(ii.) Eight years research experience in the field of Leptospirosis, Tuberculosis, Hepatitis, Malaria, Diarrhoeal Diseases and Vector Borne Diseases.
DESIRABLE (i.) Ph.D. in the relevant field or MD in Microbiology/Pathology/ General Medicine/ Pediatrics. (ii.) Additional Post doctoral research/teaching experience in relevant fields, as mentioned above, including Genomics and Proteomics. (iii.) Knowledge of Computer Application.
JOB REQUIREMENT To develop programmes for training and research, plan and undertake research on different aspects of communicable diseases, tribal health and to assist the Director and other scientists in conducting research in thrust areas and any other duties as assigned by the Director of the Centre.
SCIENTIST ‘C’ PAY SCALE : Pay Band-3 of Rs.15600 - 39100 (Grade Pay of Rs.6600/-)
ESSENTIAL (i.) MBBS Degree recognized by MCI or First Class Master's Degree in Microbiology/ Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/Medical Lab Technology/ Bioinformatics/ Entomology/ Anthropology (Social/Physical) or equivalent Or
Second Class Master's Degree in relevant subjects with Ph.D Degree from a recognized University.(ii.) Four years research experience in the field of Leptospirosis, Tuberculosis, Hepatitis, Malaria, Diarrhoeal Diseases and Vector Borne Diseases.
