The Biocenter PhD program was created in 1993 with the aim of providing biology students from all over the world with the possibility for training and research in the attractive scientific environment of the Vienna Biocenter.
Successful candidates are accepted as PhD students initially for three years with the possibility of an extension into the fourth year. The PhD degree will be obtained from the Life Sciences Faculty of the Vienna University or the Medical University of Vienna. Apart from practical training and work in the laboratory, the following activities are intergral parts of the PhD program.
