Applications are invited for award of the following Research Associateships in various Schools/Centres of the University with the qualifications/specializations as indicated against each:
SCHOOL OF LIFE SCIENCES
1. Research Associate (Reserved for SC)
Ph.D. in Modern Biological Sciences
SCHOOL OF BIOTECHNOLOGY
2 & 3. Research Associate (Two posts) (One Reserved for SC)
Essential: M.Sc. and Ph. D. in any area of biological sciences.
Desirable: Post-doctoral research experience/teaching experience at post-graduate level.
Eligibility Research Associateships are intended for researchers, preferably below the age of 45 years as on 1st July of the year of Award (55 years in case of women candidates), who have obtained a doctorate degree, have published research work to their credit and have already shown evidence of independent research work.
Scale of Pay: Depending on their merit, the selected candidates may be awarded Research Associateship with fixed emoluments of Rs. 12,000/- per month. In addition to the fixed pay, they will be entitled to House Rent allowance on the same basis as admissible to other staff of the University. The Research Associateship carries an annual contingency grant of Rs. 7,500/- per annum for approved contingent expenditure in case of Humanities & Social Sciences and Rs. 10,000/- per annum in case of Science. The Award will be initially for a period of three years, extendable for another term not exceeding two years except for post No. 7.
