Biology/Biotechnology - 6 Vacancies

ELIGIBILITY

A Master Degree of this University or of any other University recognized by the Syndicate as equivalent thereto in the relevant subject with not less than 50% of marks for SC/ST and 55% for others.

Entrance examination shall be of objective type in two parts.

Part – A shall consist of English Comprehension (25 marks) Logic and General Reasoning (25 marks) – total – 50 marks.

Part – B shall consist of questions on the Subject concerned (50 marks).

The Selection will be made on the basis of marks obtained in the entrance examination and following the rules of reservation as per the Tamil Nadu Government.

The Entrance Examination may be held on: 20th September 2009

The candidates should pay a sum of Rs.200/- towards the cost of application (Rs.100/- for SC/ST candidates) and Registration fee of Rs.500/- for all candidates (both fees may be paid by single Chalan - A/c No.I of SBI, M.K.University branch. In case, if it is remitted by a Demand Draft of any nationalized bank / scheduled Bank it must be in favour of “ The Registrar, Madurai Kamaraj University”, Payable at Madurai..

The selected candidates will become the Stipendiary Research Scholars and will be awarded Rs.5,000/- per month with a contingency of Rs.3,000/- per annum.

Hostel accommodation may be provided to the selected scholars subject to the availability of vacancy
