Deakin University’s Institute for Technology Research and Innovation (ITRI) is seeking qualified candidates for a unique Masters by Research Program leading to a PhD*.

Research Focus Areas: ITRI’s world-class research focuses on:

1. Advanced Materials, Steel and Light Metals, Metallurgy, Textile Technology
2. Biotechnology, Biomaterials, Biosciences
3. Nanotechnology
4. Intelligent systems

Eligibility: B.Tech. / M.Tech. / MSc. From reputed Institutes with 60% and above marks

Fee: Tuition Fee for Masters by Research: AuD 22,160 per anum

Course Duration:

• Masters by Research = 2 years*
• Masters by Research leading to a PhD = 3.5 years*

Scholarship: A wide range of scholarships will be available to students who make outstanding progress during the first year of their Masters. For such students there is a potential to upgrade to a PhD and avail a waiver of up to 100% of the tuition fee with an annual stipend up to $20,000.

• Last date for receipt of applications: 31^st August 2009 and 15^th November 2009
• Course commencement: November 2009 and Feb 2010 respectively
