Chronobiology is one of the most interdisciplinary fields in biology, and deals with oscillatory phenomena in living organisms, and their adaptation to geophysical cycles. Chronobiological studies include, but are not limited to comparative anatomy, physiology, genetics, molecular biology, and behaviour of organisms.

Other aspects include development, reproduction, ecology and evolution. The Department of Science and Technology has been organizing SERC School in Chronobiology for the past seven years. This year we will focus on basic as well as applied topics in Chronobiology.

Marimuthu (Madurai, India), Atanu K. Pati (Raipur, India), Sangeeta Rani (Lucknow, India), Ezio Rosato (Leicester, UK), Vijay K. Sharma (Bangalore, India), Nishikant K. Subhedar (Pune,India), Eran Tau er (Leicester, UK), Sheeba Vasu (Bangalore, India), Kenneth P. Wright (Colorado, USA).

Final year M.Sc./M.B.B.S./M.Pharm./B.Tech. students, Ph.D. Scholars, Post-docs and young faculty members may apply with CV (date of birth, complete address with e-mail ID, educational qualifications with year and % marks), one photograph, two recommendation letters and a brief statement of purpose (~200
words) of attending this School.

Selected participants will be provided AC III train fare and local hospitality.

There is no registration fee.
