FOR APPOINTMENT OF A POST DOCTORAL FELLOW
CCMB, a premier R&D Institute engaged in research in the areas of modern biology, is looking for a full-time Indian postdoctoral fellow with PhD in Genetics (preferably yeast) to work in the laboratory of Prof. Olivier Gadal, Universite Paul-Sabatier, France, under an Indo-French

Salary/Duration: 1850 € (salary / month) for a duration of 2 years
Project description: The Indo-French collaborative Project is funded by the Indo-French Centre for the Promotion of Advanced Research (IFCPAR) to study gene positioning using real-time imaging in living cells. Using a combination of cell biology and genetic approaches, structural players which contribute to spatial positioning of RNA polymerase III transcribed genes will be identified.
Profile: Candidates should have a recent PhD in genetics, with a profile that combines molecular biology experience and cell biology research.
He/she will contribute to the analysis of gene positioning in yeast. Thus, practical and theoretical experiences in research with chromatin and transcription and interest for cutting-edge imaging techniques are highly welcome.
