Recruitment of Research Associate / Junior Research Fellow/ Project Assistant/ Field laboratory assistant
The following position of Research Associate (RA), Senior Research Fellow (SRF), Junior Research Fellow (JRF), Project Assistant and Field Attendants are to be filled up for various projects at Department of Agricultural Biotechnology, Anand Agricultural University (AAU), Anand.
Title of the Project “Multilocation Trial of Jatropha curcas in different agroclimatic zones and study of Agronomic practices”
Research Associate
Duration of the Project July 2009-July 2012
Total Emoluments Rs.16,000/- + 7.5 % HRA pm
Required Educational Qualification PhD in Plant Breeding & Genetics/ Genetics /Cytogenetics / Agronomy /Botany / Agri. or Plant Biotechnology / Horticulture/
M.Sc. in the above disciplines with two years research experience.
Desirable: Work experience in Field breeding/ Agronomy/Horticulture
Junior Research Fellow
Total Emoluments Rs.12,000/- + 7.5 % HRA pm (1st & 2nd Year) Rs. 14,000/- + 7.5 % HRA pm (3rd Year)
MSc/MSc(Agri.) Plant Breeding & Genetics/Genetics/Cytogenetics / Botany / Biotechnology/Agri or Plant Biotechnology.
Title of the Project “Technology Development for Mass Multiplication using Tissue Culture and Sex Determination using Molecular Markers in Papaya (Carica papaya L.)”
Senior Research Fellow /Project Assistant *
Duration of the Project November 2009- November 2012
Total Emoluments Rs.12,000/- + 7.5 % HRA pm (1st & 2nd Year) Rs. 14,000/- + 7.5 % HRA pm (3rd Year) for Senior Research Fellow/Rs. 8000/- (consolidated) for Project Assistant
Required Educational Qualification MSc/MSc (Agri.) Agricultural or Plant Biotechnology / Plant Breeding & Genetics / other life sciences with experience in plant tissue culture/ Molecular biology.
For the post of SRF, NET qualification is compulsory.
Desirable: Work experience in plant tissue culture/Molecular biology
* Filling up of these posts is subjected to the approval of these posts by DST, New Delhi. The post of Project Assistant and Field Assistant in the DST sponsored project will be filled in lieu of the post of Senior Research Fellow in the project if a suitable candidate with NET qualification is not available.
