Vaccine research Innovation Awards (VRI) Awards
Applications are invited for the VRI Awards from Young Scientists to work in the areas related to vaccine and infectious disease research at the TRANSLATIONAL HEALTH SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY INSTITUTE (THSTI) under the mentorship of its senior faculty.
An ideal would hold a recent PhD in any area of modern biology with preference given to those with expertise in infectious diseases / vaccine research.
Those likely to complete their PhD programme in the next 3 months are eligible to apply.
The award shall normally be for the duration of three years which may be extended by 2 more years, subject to satisfactory progress, based on a review by a committee of experts and their recommendation. The award carries a consolidated stipend of Rs. 40,000/- per month. The awardee shall not be eligible to draw any other fellowship or salary.
