Admission in Post-MSc-PhD Programme 2010

Applications are invited from candidates having qualified INSPIRE-SHE/CSIR-UGC-NET for the positions of Junior Research Fellows.

1. Qualification: As per the criterion for eligibility under “Scholarship for Higher Education (SHE) by the Department of Science & Technology, Government of India; and CSIR/UGC-NET Examination. Details on the criteria.
2. Interview: The candidates will be called for an interview.
3. Desired field of Study: Both theoretical and experimental research are carried out at the Centre which has four departments: Theoretical Science; Material Science; Astrophysics & Cosmology; and Chemical, Biological & Macromolecular Sciences.
4. Residential Programme: The PMSc-Ph.D Research is a residential programme all through and the Centre will provide hostel and other infrastructural facilities.
5. Monthly Stipend: JRF – Rs 12,000; SRF – Rs 14,000 and other benefits based on satisfactory performance as per existing DST rules.
6. The Centre does not charge any Tution Fee.
