Walk-in-Interview will be held on 09.04.2010 at 4.00 p.m. in the Seminar Room of P.M.C.G. Section at the Centenary Campus of Bose Institute, P-1/12, C.I.T., Scheme- VIIM, Kolkata- 700 054 for one post of Research Associate / Senior Research Fellow (Extended) in the DBT sponsored Project entitled, “Novel Genes and Their Regulatory Elements For Salt Tolerance From The Wild Halophytic Rice, Porteresia coartata : Introgression Into Cultivated Rice” under Prof. A. N. Lahiri Majumder, P.M.C.G Section. The project is tenable upto January 2011.
1. Associateship / Fellowship :
Associateship of Rs. 16,000/- p.m., plus admissible HRA for Research Associate / Fellowship of Rs. 15,000/- p.m., plus admissible HRA. for SRF(Extended).
2. Essential Qualification : Ph.D. in Life Sciences with research experience preferably in Plant tissue culture or Plant transgenic work / Molecular Biology & related disciplines / Plant Stress Biology. Those who have submitted their Ph.D. theses in the above mentioned disciplines may be considered for the SRF(Extended) position and on obtaining the Ph.D. degree will be upgraded as Research Associate.
3. Age : Below 35 years (relaxable in case of SC/ST/OBC/WOMEN candidates only)
Eligible and interested candidates are requested to appear in person directly before the Selection Committee with application addressed to the Registrar, Bose Institute, P-1/12, C.I.T., Scheme-VIIM, Kolkata- 700 054 alongwith bio-data, attested copies of Certificates, Mark-sheets and Testimonials. The candidates should also bring the original mark-sheets, certificates etc. at the time of interview.
