PROJECT ASSOCIATE

UGC sponsored project "X-ray studies on Protein crystal: Study of dehydrated/rehydrated x-ray crystal structures of Bos Taurus - Rhodanese and crystal structure determination of Human - Gamma Synuclein".

The duration for the fellowship is 3 years only with consolidated pay of Rs. 10,000 per month.

Application should reach in April 15th, 2010.

Essential Qualification: M.Sc in Bioinformatics/Biophysics/Physics/Chemistry with NET JRF/Lectureship and SLET qualification.

M.Phil Degree holder's with thesis in protein crystallography.

Ph.D Degree holder's with the specialization in protein crystallography.

The candidate should be below the age of 40 years at the time of appointment. The qualification was based on the UGC guidelines. In case the qualified candidate is not available as per qualifications mentioned above for the post of Project Associate, the University/Institution may appoint Project Fellow at a consolidated salary of Rs. 8,000/-

Qualification for Project Fellow:

M.Sc in Bioinformatics/Biophysics/Physics/Chemistry. The person to be considered for appointment as Project Fellow must have second class master degree with a minimum of 55% marks in the subject concerned or a related subject. The candidate to be appointed as Project Fellows should be below the age of 40 years at the time of appointment.

Desirable Qualification for this Project: Research Experience in Small/Macromolecule Crystallography and Structural Bioinformatics with relevant publications in International Journals.
