Essential Qualifications:
* PhD in Plant Pathology with about 3 years of post-doctoral research experience in plant pathology
Job Description:
* Identification, isolation and culture maintenance of major fungal and bacterial pathogens of rice, maize, millets, cotton and vegetables.
* Development of in vitro and/or whole plant bioassays for major pathogens.
* Identification of new races of pathogens/new diseases of economic importance.
* Work in association with crop breeders (for hybrids) and the biotechnology team (for transgenic research) to develop/test resistant varieties
Experience Required: 3 - 5 Years
Education Required: UG - B.Sc - Any Specialization PG - Any PG Course - Any Specialization
Job Salary Rupees 5,00,000 - 7,50,000
