Training Program on Advanced Crop Informatics 10th – 12th August, 2010
The Barwale Foundation, a nonprofit organization is planning to conduct a three day training program on “Advanced Crop Informatics” at its knowledge & study centre, Jalna from 10th to 12th August, 2010.
About the course:
This course deals with advanced bioinformatics tools utilized in crop informatics. Useful for researchers
planning to adopt systems biology approaches for crop improvement, the training course encompasses among
other things topics like genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics and metabolomics.
This “hands-on” three day program would constitute of both theory & practicals. The outline is as below:

Proteomics : In silico protein analysis, Peptide mass fingerprinting, Molecular docking:
Rational drug designing
Sequence Analysis : Sequence mining retrieval and BLAST
Sequence Analysis : Sequence alignment, Gene, ORF and Motif finding, Primer designing
Genome Analysis : Genome browsing, Genetic and Physical maps, Genome Annotation
Phylo-genomic analysis
Gene Expression Analysis : RNAi, Micro-array, Real Time PCR
