Notification for Certified course in Bioinformatics
JNIAS announces admission to its 1 month training programmes in Bioinformatics under the guidance of Dr. Kaiser Jamil, Dean, School of Life Sciences & Director, Centre for Biotechnology and Bioinformatics (CBB). These are certificate programmes that have been developed by integrating practical knowledge with theoretical inputs and are ideal for academia and those in the industry and research looking for upgrading their knowledge in specific areas of Bioinformatics.
We offer a specialized and advanced level industry training and certified course in Bioinformatics.
The main objectives of the program are:
1. To equip the students with the requisite background in areas of modern biology (biochemistry, cell biology, genetics and molecular biology) and computer science (programming languages, databases, algorithms, data mining, etc.).
2. To launch the students into core areas in Bioinformatics like multiple sequence alignment, phylogenetic analysis, genomics, proteomics etc.
3. To explore the students to applied areas of Bioinformatics like molecular visualization, computer aided drug designing etc.
4. To provide practical experience to students by giving them an opportunity to pursue project work in an identified area of Bioinformatics.
5. In short the objective is to balance the Practical with theory and blend the teaching with the basic knowledge.

Eligibility: All the candidates who are pursing or have completed Graduation, Post Graduation in the relevant field are eligible for the training programs.
