Research Fellowship Positions MGDC was established recently, with fund from Doerenkamp-Zbinden Foundation, Switzerland. In order to assist the Director and Chair in the activities of the center, 2 Research Fellowship positions have been created, at a monthly fellowship of Rs 12000/-, for 3 years. The scholars will be permitted to register for Ph.D. The areas of activity /research and the qualification requirement shall be as follows:
1. In vitro alternatives: UG degree in Zoology, with not less than 60% marks, and PG degree in Zoology/Biotechnology/Gene Technology/Biochemistry/Toxicology, and with expertise in animal cell culture and in vitro toxicology. OR
M.Sc. degree in Life Sciences/ Biomedical Science in the 5 year integrated stream, with not less than 60% marks, and with expertise in animal cell culture and in vitro toxicology.
2. In silico alternatives: UG degree in Zoology, with not less than 60% marks, and PG degree in Bioinformatics. OR
UG degree in Zoology with not less than 60% marks and PG degree in Zoology/Biotechnology, and with PG diploma in Bioinformatics.
A candidate can apply for only one of the two positions. Candidates waiting for their final examination results can also apply, but at the time of appointment he/she should produce evidence of fulfilling the eligibility conditions. Preference will be given to NET/SLET qualified candidates, and/or those with previous research experience.
