As a part of its activities. the CST UP funded Centre of Excellence In Agri Biotechnology is going to organize one short-term training course on 'Application of Molecular Tools & Advanced Biochemical Techniques in Agriculture' from June 21, 2010 to July 03, 2010.

Fee Rs. 5.000 / student
Rs. 7,000 / student opting to utilize boarding & lodging facilities.
Eligible candidates
1. Post graduate/UG students of Agriculture Biotechnologyl Biotechnology & Life Sciences
2. Candidates should be resident of Uttar Pradesh.
Course Content
Nucleic acid isolation from different sources.
Polymerase Chain Reaction
RAPD analysis.
Preparation of competent cells.
Plasmid DNA isolation & vector preparation.
Transformation
Selection of recombinant clones.
Restriction analysis.
Spectrophotometry.
HPLC. GC etc.
The course will comprise both practicals and theory lectures
