Job Description

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES/OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION:

Ø Advises clients on issues of statistical design.

Ø Assists with the training and mentoring of new and more junior employees as needed

Ø Independently develop/write programs to generate tables, listings and graphs using SAS as outlined by the statistical analysis plan.

Ø Drafts statistical methods sections for protocols.

Ø Estimates sample sizes for studies

Ø Performs QC of tables, listings, graphs and derived datasets, particularly those of a more complicated nature or those used for efficacy analyses

Ø Prepare/Review of statistical analysis plans in accordance with the protocol for more complicated or unconventional clinical trials

Ø Prepare/Review draft sample size estimate for studies

Ø QA of statistical deliverables to clients

Ø Reviews clinical study reports

Ø Reviews data management plans

Ø Suggest process improvements for work procedures

Ø Works with the programming group to ensure statistical analyses are accurate and carried out correctly.

Ø Writes and reviews statistical methods sections of protocols independently.

COMPETENCIES REQUIRED FOR POSITION:

Ø Internal/External Contacts

Ø Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Ø Knowledge of Microsoft Windows.

Ø Knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Ø Ability to use electronic mail system

Ø Basic time management skills.

Qualifications: Degree (MS or MSc or PhD) in Statistics, Biostatistics or any closely related field

Experience: 1+ Years
