Two days workshop on
“Application of Bioinformatics in Medical Sciences with an Introduction to Next Generation Sequencing Data Analysis”
Biomedical Informatics Centre, RMRIMS (ICMR), Patna is organizing a two days workshop (June 29th & 30th, 2010) on “Application of Bioinformatics in Medical Sciences with an introduction to Next Generation sequencing data analysis”. The topics to be addressed during the workshop include introduction to NEXTGENe: Next Generation Sequencing Data Analysis, Drug Discovery, Homology Modelling and DNA and RNA isolation it will be followed by lectures. This workshop will be useful for scientists, clinicians and academicians who are involved in basic and clinical research.
Eligibility criteria for applicants include a M. Pharm, B. Pharm, MBBS, M.D, M. Tech, B. Tech and M.Sc. (Bioinformatics, Biotechnology). Interested applicants may send their application letter with a small write up to clearly mention the benefit of attending this workshop along with curriculum vitae. The last date for receipt of applications are June 25, 2010. A maximum of 20 candidates will be selected. The selected candidates will be intimated by email on June 26, 2010.
The selected candidates should bring a proof of identity (photo ID) for the workshop. The workshop is being fully supported by Indian Council of Medical Research, New Delhi. There is no course fee. The selected candidates will, however, have to make their own arrangements for travel, accommodation can be provided to outside participants only.
