Applications are invited from candidates possessing Ph.D in any branch of Life sciences for filling up of two positions of Project Associates, initially for a period of one year, in DBT sponsored projects, at consolidated amount to be fixed at any one of the 3 levels of Rs 22000/-, Rs 23000/- and Rs 24000/-, plus 30% HRA, depending upon qualifications and experience. Candidates who have submitted their Ph.D thesis are also eligible to apply.
1. Project titled, “Primate Resource and Research Centre and facility on small animals –an incubator for translational research”
Qualifications - Ph.D, in any branch of Life Sciences, having flair for conducting intricate animal experiments.Job Description - The selected candidate has to carry out intricate animal experiments and discharge any other duties assigned from time to time.
2. Project titled, “DBT Centre of Excellence for Novel Paradigms of inhibitor design against key metabolic pathways to decimate infectious agents”.
Qualifications - Ph.D in any branch of Life sciences. Experience of working with nano-particles with liposomes as drug delivery system is desirable.Job Description- The selected candidate has to independently plan and execute intricate physiologic experiments and is required to manage the day to day activities of the project.
Note - Candidates who have submitted their Ph.D thesis are also eligible to apply. However in such cases, emoluments shall fixed at consolidated amount of Rs 20,000/- + 30 % HRA.
OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
1. The posts exists in sponsored projects and are purely temporary. There shall be no claim for regular appointment against any core post of the Institute.
2. The post is initially for a period of one year. The other terms and conditions governing the appointment shall be as per the Rules and Regulations of the Institute applicable to project employment.
3. Consolidated amount at any one of the 3 levels of Rs 22000/-, Rs 23000/- and Rs 24000/- shall be fixed depending upon qualifications and experience, subject to recommendations by the Selection Committee. Candidates who have submitted their Ph.D thesis are also eligible to apply. However in such cases, emoluments shall fixed at consolidated amount of Rs 20,000/-. Besides 30% HRA, no other allowances and perks are payable over and above the consolidated amount.
4. No hostel housing facility will be provided.
5. Applicants may clearly indicate the category they belong to i.e. SC/ST/OBC/PH and attach documentary proof of the same.
6. Candidates called for interview shall not be paid TA/DA.
7. Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.
