Essential Qualification & Experience

Qualification:

PhD / MD in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Virology, Immunology

Experience:

Experience of leading a Diagnostic / Service Research Laboratory

OR Working in supervisory capacity in lab of major projects

Desirable Experience

Experience in the field of HIV/ AIDS

OR Other infectious diseases. Experience of Clinical Trials.

Job Responsibilities Supervision and coordination of laboratory activities for Clinical Trial Unit including proficiency testing, certification of assays, preparation of reports, quality control procedures and training.

Research Scientist/ Microbiologist - 02 Posts

Essential Qualification & Experience M.Sc. in Microbiology/Medical microbiology/Biotechnology or M.D./Ph.D. Microbiology, M.Sc. with five years experience in laboratory techniques in a supervisory capacity OR

M.D./Ph.D. with two years experience in supervisory capacity.

Desirable Experience Experience in immunological techniques and quality control in HIV/ AIDS laboratory.

Job Responsibilities The incumbent will be responsible for CD4 quality assurance programme run by the institute for NACO laboratories including preparation of panels, co-coordination of quality control activities with other labs and overall administration.

Essential Qualification & Experience MSc Medical Microbiology/Biotechnology/Life Sciences.

Desirable Experience Experience in immunological techniques and quality control in HIV/ AIDS laboratory.

Job Responsibilities 2 years experience in microbiological/immunological laboratory techniques, candidates with experience in quality assurance is preferred.
