Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the following purely temporary positions of Studentships/ Traineeships under DBT funded Bioinformatics Infrastructure Facility (BIF), Centre for Studies in Biotechnology, Dibrugarh University.

1. Traineeship – 01 (one post) purely temporary for a period of six months.
Salary: Rs.5000/- p.m. fixed.
Essential Qualification: Post Graduate degree in Biotechnology /Bioinformatics or any other branch of Life Sciences / B.Tech. / B.E/ M.Sc (Computer Science) /MCA. with knowledge in Bioinformatics.
Desirable Qualification: Prior knowledge of programming languages such as C, VB, SQL etc. and software/database development.
2. Studentship – 01 (one post) purely temporary for a period of six months
Salary: Rs.5000/- p.m. fixed
Essential Qualification: Students pursuing postgraduate degree in Biotechnology/Bioinformatics or   any branch of Life Sciences with a programme in Bioinformatics to carry out a project work.
Desirable Qualification: Basic working knowledge of computer and network.
How to apply: Applications, neatly typed on plain paper, stating the name, address, date of birth, educational qualifications and experiences, email ID along with attested photocopies of mark sheets and certificates should reach the Coordinator on or before 30th August 2010.

Short-listed Candidates will be called for the interview.   No TA & DA will be paid for appearing in the interview.
