Scientist/RA/Lab Director/Informatics Manager

Genomics Applications and Informatics Technology Labs (Ganit Labs) is a newly formed, Bangalore-based, public private-partnership initiative. Ganit Labs would work in the field of functional genomics and next generation sequencing. Currently we are building a state-of-the art modern genomics lab along with the best computational facility that would present entrepreneurial atmosphere of start-up companies and academic rigor and solid training of research institutes/universities.

The lab invites applications for following positions from individuals who like energetic and entrepreneurial atmosphere of start-up companies and academic rigor of research institutes/universities.

1. Database/Informatics Manager:

Minimum 3 yrs experience in handling storage, management, sharing large amount of data (experience in genomics data including DNA microarray and next-gen sequencing would be a plus).

2. Lab Director/Manager:

Minimum 5 yrs experience in managing experiments, processes, individuals and deliverables in a functional genomics lab. Ph.D. preferred.

3. Principal Scientists/Senior Scientists/Scientists (genomics):

Experience in hands-on genomics (RT-PCR, microarray & next-gen sequencing) experiments. Ph.D. with postdoctoral experience required.

4. Senior Scientists/Scientists (data analysis):

Experience in analyzing genomics data including data from next gen sequencing. Ph.D. or MS with experience required.

5. Computational Scientists:

Experience in writing and implementing algorithms for genomics research. MS/MTech with 2 yrs experience or Ph.D. preferred.

6. Research Associates:

Experience in helping scientists and also working independently in carrying out wet lab experiments in genomics/molecular biology. MSc with 1yr experience.
