1) Basics of fluorescence and the idea of fluorescence lifetime;2)Processes that affect the lifetime: static and dynamic quenching processes, SternVolmer plot, FRET, radiative decay engineering;3) Anisotropy, measurement of rotational correlation time;4) The principles and the instrumentation for the Time Correlated Single Photon Counting [TCSPC] technique;5) TCSPC data analysis, MEM;6) Fluorescence Upconversion;7) Use of lifetime together with other techniques: FUM, FCS-TCSPC etc.;8) Theory and practice of fluorescence correlation spectroscopy (FCS);9)Applications of FCS;10) Laboratory work: Instrument handling, data fitting;11) Ultrafast Raman Spectroscopy12) Discussions on recent developments.
