BARKATULLAH UNIVERSITY
BHOPAL (M.P.)

THE CONFERENCE: Microorganisms and their biosynthetic capabilities have solved many difficult problems in our daily life for human welfare. The various ways in which microorganisms have helped mankind include medical technology, human and animal health, food processing, food safety and quality, genetic engineering, environmental protection, agricultural biotechnology and more effective treatment of agriculture, municipal and industrial waste that provide a most impressive record of achievement. Most of these technological advancements would not have been possible using conventional straight forward chemical and physical engineering methods, or if they were, they would not have been practically or economically feasible and may cause environmental problems. In recent years, microbial technologies have been applied to several agricultural and environmental problems with considerable success.Since microorganisms are useful in eliminating problems associated with the use of domestic and industrial pollutants, they are now widely applied in nature farming and organic agriculture.

The conference will foster interactions amongst researchers to develop strategies as to how microorganisms can be more effectively used for environmental management employing advance biotechnological methods.

THE THEME: The theme of the conference Micro-organisms in Environmental Management and Biotechnology focuses over the Biotechnological advancements on living Microorganisms with major thrust on different vistas of Modern Microbiology. The following areas of basic and applied Microbiology in relation to environmental management will be covered by eminent scientists as plenary lectures, invited talks and poster presentations.
