IISER Bhopal Life Sciences PhD Programme 2010 December
Applications are invited from Indian citizens for admission for the session commencing from December 27, 2010 in the following
Areas:
• Biological Sciences
• Chemical Sciences
• Earth & Environmental Sciences
• Mathematical Sciences
• Physical Sciences
Minimum Qualifications: The applicant must have a M. Sc. Degree (minimum 55% marks) respective areas or allied area with a valid GATE/UGC/CSIR/JEST/ICMR/DBT/ NBHM score card.
EES: Earth and Environmental Sciences Department at IISER Bhopal seeks applicants for the PhD programme who should have a Masters Degree (or equivalent) with a strong background in Mathematics and Physics/ Chemistry or a related engineering discipline. Students should also have an aptitude for atmospheric sciences/air quality management and be willing to participate in field campaigns (which may involve some travel).
Assistantship/scholarship:
Financial aid (Assistantship/scholarship) is provided for PhD programme as per rule.

Application Fee
Prescribed Application must be sent along with a fee of Rs.200/- (General/OBC) and Rs.100/-(SC/ST/PH) by a Demand Draft favoring Director, IISER Bhopal, payable at Bhopal.
Reservation
Reservation will be 15% for SC, 7.5% for ST and 27% for OBC (Non-creamy layer) for the year 2010-11. Also up to 3% reservation shall apply as per Government of India rules for persons with physically disable candidates.

Application forms and detailed information can be obtained free of charge from the Assistant Registrar (Academic), IISER Bhopal, ITI (Gas Rahat) Building, Govindpura, Bhopal 462 023 personally or by sending the request for the same.
Separate application must be sent for each programme.
