FINISHING SCHOOL IN AGRICULTURAL BIOTECHNOLOGY
Objectives :
1) To improve the knowledge, advanced laboratory techniques and skills among fresh M.Sc, M.Sc (Ag) and M.Phil (Plant Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Genetics and Plant Breeding and Microbiology) candidates.
2) To improve the employability of M.Sc, M.Sc (Ag) and M.phil passed candidates.
3) To meet the requirements of academic institutes and industry in the field of Agricultural Biotechnology.
Eligibility criteria :
Candidates with M.Sc. / M.Sc. (Ag.) / M.Phil degree in Plant Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Genetics and Plant Breeding and Microbiology securing more than 60% marks in P.G. degree from Andhra Pradesh are eligible.
Duration : Three (3) Months
Date of Commencement of the course : 1st December, 2010
No. of seats: Fifteen (15)
Course fee: Rs.20,000/- to be paid by demand draft drawn in favour of Executive Director, Agri Biotech Foundation, through any nationalized bank to be paid along with application .Candidates not selected will receive full refund .
Course content :It consists of four modules viz.,
(1) Biopesticides and Biofertilizers
(2) Plant Tissue Culture
(3) Recombinant DNA technology and
(4) Molecular Marker Technology for crop improvement. The main thrust is to impart advanced practical skills .
Boarding and Lodging : The candidates shall have to make their own arrangements for boarding and lodging.
Mode of sending application: The application form can be downloaded from website www.abfindia.org. Photo copies of the educational qualifications and other additional information in support of the candidature shall have to be sent along with the application. Candidates who desire to send the application through electronic mode may send the soft copy of the application accompanied by scanned copies of educational and other qualifications to agribiotechfoundation@gmail.com.
