Applications are invited for the post of a Junior Research Fellow with the Fellowship of Rs 12,000 + 20% HRA per month (fixed) in a CSIR sponsored project entitled ‘Studies on the regulation of fragile X mental retardation gene (Fmr-1) expression as a function of metabotropic glutamate receptor (mGluR) activity in aging mouse brain’ sanctioned up to 2012 (three years w.e.f. 2009). The post is purely temporary and coterminous with the project.

The candidates should be NET/GATE qualified with at least 55% marks in M.Sc. in Zoology/Life Sciences/Biochemistry/Neurosciences and below 28 years of age. A relaxation of 5 years upper age limit will be given to SC/ST/Physically Handicapped/Female candidates. 

Candidates with experience of research in the area of the project or related field will be preferred. All things being equal, SC/ST candidates will be preferred as per GOI rules.
