helpBIOTECH Happy to Announce:
Conference on “Microbes in Wastewater & Waste Treatment, Bioremediation and Energy Production”.
January 24 – 27, 2011
Pilani-Goa Campus (GOA)
The Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) – Pilani, Goa campus, India and Institut National de la Recherche Agronomique (INRA), France welcome you to the first International Water Association - IWA’s specialized conference on “Microbes in Wastewater & Waste Treatment, Bioremediation and Energy Production”.
This conference is scheduled for January 24 – 27, 2011 at BITS – Pilani, Goa campus, Goa, India. We are looking forward to receiving your abstracts on the themes outlined and to hear about your work on Microbes in Waste Treatment.
About the conference
At present, the world is focused on renewable energy sources, environmental restoration, water treatment and reducing waste production. Microbes play a key role in these technologies. The new tools available to describe microbes, microbial activities and microbial ecology open exciting and promising perspectives for researchers and manufacturers seeking to improve such processes.
This conference is being organized within the framework of the IWA’s specialized groups Microbial Ecology and Water Engineering (MEWE) and Assessment and Control of Hazardous Substances in Water (ACHSW). It aims to bring together researchers, scientists and professionals working in the field of microbes and microbial ecology. The conference, to be held in Goa, will provide a platform for the participants to share new approaches, knowledge and findings on Earth’s tiniest creatures which are the major drivers of pollution removal.
