Admission in PhD Programme 2011
Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for registration to Ph.D. and M. Phil. Programme for the academic term beginning from January– 2011 in the prescribed form.
Eligibility : Ph.D./ M. Phil : Master Degree with at least 50% in the concerned subject from this University or any other university recognized by U.G.C.

The Application form can be downloaded from the university web-site www.ngu.ac.in. Candidate will have to Pay Rs. 500/ - towards application fee by demand draft drawn in favor of “Registrar, Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University, Patan.” along with the application form.

Group Discussion for Ph. D and M. Phil will be declared later on
N.B : Those candidates who have cleared U.G.C. - CSIR ( JRF ) Examination and NET/ SLET holders are exempted from Entrance Test for Ph.D./ M. Phil. Students having passed their Master's degree in English, History, Political Science, Sociology, Commerce, Economics, Management, Law, Geography, Psychology, Philosophy, Anthropology, Cultural Studies and Information Technology are eligible for M. Phil. in Indian Diaspora and Cultural Studies.
M. Phil. programme will be started if minimum 10 candidates qualify the eligibility test in the listed subjects.

The entrance test for the subjects viz., Microbiology, Botany, Biotechnology and Zoology will be conducted separately. The syllabus for the remaining subjects mentioned in the advertisement will be as per the SLET examination. Those subjects that are not included in SLET examination, the syllabus of NET examination will have to be considered for this entrance test.
