Hands on trainings in ENVIRONMENTAL GENOMICS

27th December,2010 – 10th January, 2011

UGC-NRCBS invites applications from Research Scholars, Post Docs, Young faculty members and Scientists of any Indian universities/ Research Institutions for the winter school on “Environmental genomics ” to be held from 27th December, 2010 to 10th January, 2011. The workshop will consist of hands on trainings in Environmental genomics.

The detailed instruction and registration form can be downloaded from the UGC-NRCBS website www.nrcbsmku.org or from www.genomicsmku.org.  Candidates should submit the filled in registration form

to  Dr. A. Murugan,Convener, UGC-NRCBS Winter School on Environmental genomics, School of Biological Sciences, Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai – 625021 on or before 13th December, 2010.

Applications should be forwarded by their research supervisor/Head of the department or Head of the institution. Applications sent via E-mail are also accepted, but the duly forwarded hard copy should reach within a week. The candidates will be selected based on the qualification and research interests. TA/DA will be provided to the selected participants as per the Madurai Kamaraj University regulations.

Activities :
 

Organizing the Summer and Winter schools,
Guidance of Ph.D students of other institutes on experimental trouble shooting & research methodology.
Support for Ph.D students those who are deprived of equipment/laboratory facilities, and
Strengthening the of the collaborative research initiatives in Biological Sciences among universities and research institutes.
