Job Description

 

Qualification: MS/M.Pharm/M.V.Sc or equivalent Master’s degree in one of the following areas: Physiology, Neuroscience, Behavioral Pharmacology, Metabolic Disorder (Diabetes, Obesity), Cardiovascular Pharmacology, Immunology, Oncology

Experience: 0-5 years of research experience from a drug discovery based Pharmaceutical company or Academic Institute

Role:

• The successful candidate(s) will be part of the discovery programs and be responsible for the implementation and completion of in vivo efficacy studies to assess drug action in multiple therapeutic areas.

• This individual will be responsible for experimental planning, data analysis, interpretation and presentation of data, and report submission.

Desired Profile

Skill Sets:

• The candidate must have hand on experience and training as an in vivo biologist.

• Candidate be an expert in small animal handling, drug preparation and administration through various routes, sample collection, data analysis and interpretation capabilities.

• Understanding of statistical data analysis and assay performance parameters. Proficient in Microsoft Windows 95/98/Me/NT/XP operating system and Microsoft Office 2000/XP, SigmaPlot, GraphPad Prism and other scientific software

• The candidate should be familiar with statistical tools used in data analysis.

• Excellent interpersonal skills, good team worker, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Detail oriented with ability to manage multiple tasks in research laboratories.

• The candidate should have formal training/drug discovery experience in one or more of the following therapeutic areas: Physiology, Neuroscience, Behavioral Pharmacology, Metabolic Disorder (Diabetes, Obesity), Cardiovascular Pharmacology, Immunology, Oncology
