About the Seminar Computational biology can be considered a supradisciplinary field of knowledge that merges biology, chemistry, physics, and computer science into a broad-based science that is important to further our understanding of the life sciences. The Seminar on computational biology will provide an excellent venue for researchers and practitioners in the fields of computational biology to present their research results and techniques. Invited talks on emerging areas by eminent experts from various academic, research institutes, universities and industries will enlighten the participants regarding the recent trends in Structural Bioinformatics, Systems Biology, Algorithms in Bioinformatics, Molecular Modelling and Computer Aided Drug Designing. Oral and Poster presentation of contributed papers will be an integral part of this seminar.
Participants Research Scientists, Research Scholars, Students and Faculty members from the Universities, Institutes and Industries.
Call for Posters and Papers Abstracts for oral and poster presentation in the technical sessions of the seminar are invited from researchers, scientists and students in all areas of Bioinformatics. The abstract of the paper should be sent (not exceeding 250 words) preferably by email to nscb2011@gmail.com along with the title of the paper, name of the author(s) and full address of correspondence including email on or before February 23, 2011. Accepted abstracts will be presented in the seminar and the full manuscript of the same will be published in the form of proceedings.
Registration fee Registration Fee: Rs. 200/- The registration fee must be paid by Demand draft in favour of Registrar, Avinashilingam Deemed University for Women, Coimbatore – 641 043 Xerox copies of the registration form can be made. Spot registration is not encouraged.
