Oilgae (www.oilgae.com) is assisting a prestigious India-headquartered company that is embarking on an ambitious project on algae to fuels. We are currently assisting them in setting up a world class scientific and engineering team.This post invites candidates with experience and passion in algae biofuel research.  Ideally candidates from the following backgrounds can apply:

Post-Graduates, PhD’s and Post Docs in the following fields:

• Algal biologists.

• Botanists

• Marine biologists

• Genetic engineers/molecular biologists

• Biotechnologists

• System design engineers

• Plant biochemists

• Bioprocess engineer

• Plant Biotechnologists

• Cellular Physiologists

• Biologists & System Engineers

• Process engineers

• Chemical and physical engineers

Expectation:

• A successful candidate should have the ability work independently and with team members to carry out breakthrough scientific research in algae biofuels

• The candidate should be excited and passionate about being up-to-date on all the latest scientific efforts in algae fuel related domains and readily integrate new insights and concepts in fields such as molecular biology and strain development.

• The successful candidate will have the ability, desire, and motivation to integrate his/her skill set into a dynamic organization that includes pioneering natural selection as well as  metabolic engineering of microalgae, pilot-scale and large-scale microbial fermentation, hydrocarbon extraction, chemical transformation of biofuels and feedstocks.

Qualifications Required:

• MS / PhD in, Microbiology Phycology, Molecular biology, Biotechnology, or related field

• 2+ years of industrial experience

• Deep knowledge and experience in molecular biology, microbial physiology, biotechnology, algae metabolism.

• Documented ability to design, carry out, and report (independently and in collaboration with other members of project teams) experiments, results, and conclusions

• Experience working in a team with highly talented and ambitious individuals

• Excellent oral and written communication skills
