About The Workshop The National Workshop is organized to give an introduction about the emerging field of Bioinformatics and its recent advancements for the research scholars. Bioinformatics is concerned with sequence. structure. and function conformational dynamics of the important biological macromolecules such as proteins. carbohydrates. nucleic acids and lipids. Three dimensional structure of Biomolecules play a crucial role in determining their functions. The wealth of informations available in the public domain databases on sequences and 3-D structures of biomolecules has extensively been used by the research scientists in the filed of Biology. Biotechnology. Medicine. Biophysics and Pharmaceutical. The training is to appraise the research scholars with Bioinformatics applications in Biological Researches and to provide hands on training on Bioinformatics tools and databases. 

The Topics include

1. Tools for sequence analysis
2. Tools for structure analysis
3. Preparation of protein and ligand for docking
4. Dl!timization of energy for ligand and protein (DPlS) - Dptimized Potentials for liquid Simulations 2DD5
5. Computer Aided Drug designing (Schrodinger Suite - GLIDE)
6. Molecular Dynamics Simulation (Schrodinger Suite - Macro Model)

Only research scholars of life Science Departments are eligible to attend the program. Selection will be made based upon your one page write-up . how will you benefit from attending the workshop. Maximum number of Participants will be restricted to Twenty (20) .
