Junior Research Fellow (JRF)/Project Assistant

DBT funded project entiled “Understanding the molecular interactions between NK receptor diversity and activation with diverse malignancy in HNSCC prevalent in the population of Assam”in the Department of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology,

Essential qualifications for the three JRF positions and One Project Assistant :
 

Project entitled : “Understanding the molecular interactions between NK receptor diversity and activation with diverse malignancy in HNSCC prevalent in the population of Assam”. 


Principal Investigator : Dr. S. Baruah, Associate Professor, Department of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, Tezpur University 


Co Principal Investigator : Dr. Nabajyoti Saikia, Department of ENT, Assam medical College and Hospital, Dibrugarh. 


Co Principal Investigator : Dr. Jyotirmoy Phookan, Department of ENT, Gauhati Medical College and Hospital, Guwahati. 


Duration of the Project : 3 years

Positions in Tezpur University
 

(A) One Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
 

Essential Qualifications : M.Sc Degree in Life Sciences with two years research experience (Desirable research experience in molecular human genetics/molecular immunology and immunogenetics)

Stipend : Rs. 16,000/+ 10% HRA per month for the first two years, if NET/GATE/BET/BINC qualified, to be promoted to SRF @ 18,000/+ 10% HRA in the third year.

For other candidates (Non NET/GATE/BET/BINC qualified) it shall be Rs. 12,000/+ 10% HRA per month, to be promoted to SRF @ Rs. 14,000/+ 10% HRA in the third year. 


(B) One Laboratory Assistant

Essential Qualifications : B.Sc in Life Sciences. Preference will be given to candidates who can comfortably work in Microsoft Office and other statistical softwares.

Stipend : Rs. 8,000/per month (Fixed emolument)
