A three year PhD studentship funded by the Medical Research Council is available in the Department of Medicine at the University of Cambridge to commence in October 2011. The successful applicant will join the research group of Professor Andrew Lever who studies basic molecular and structural biology of virus assembly, in particular the RNA and RNA/protein interactions involved in capturing and packaging the viral genome. The work will concern HIV the causative agent of AIDS.
