DBT Project In vivo analysis of membrane tabulation by CIP4, an F-BAR domain containing protein at the Drosophila motor-nerve terminals using optogenetics.
Duration: 1 year (with possibility of extension up to 3 years subject to satisfactory performance).

Essential Qualifications: M.Sc. in any branch of Biological Sciences/Life Sciences with good academic record throughout. NET/GATE/DBT/ICMR qualified candidates will be preferred. Previous experience of working in fruitfly neurobiology or development biology will be an added advantage. Only hardworking, enthusiastic and highly motivated students are advised to apply.
Age Limit: Applicant should not have completed 28 years of age at the time of application.
Salary: Candidates with CSIR/UGC-NET qualified: Rs.16,000 (consolidated) + HRA (as applicable). Candidates without NET: Rs.12,000 (consolidated) + HRA (as applicable)
Skills to be gained: The candidates during the training will gain hands-on experience in genetics, molecular biology, cell-biology, electrophysiology and modern live-cell imaging techniques.
