International Research Training Group – Molecular and Cellular Glyco-Sciences
University of Hyderabad (Hyderabad) and University of Muenster (Germany)

Applications are invited from eligible candidates, interested to work in the field of Glyco- Sciences for admission to a Ph.D. program of the University of Hyderabad and to be associated with the International Research Training Group-Molecular and Cellular Glyco-Sciences.

The IRTG-MCGS group comprises of faculty from University of Muenster in Germany and from University of Hyderabad,and Osmania University in India and engaged in research in glycobiology and identified topics of research for collaboration. Details can be seen at http://www.uni-muenster.de/MCGS/


Qualifications: M.Sc. in any area of Life Sciences/Chemistry (with an interest to work in the field of Glyco-Sciences) with minimum 55% marks in the qualifying exam and willing to participate in IRTG program.

1. The applicants should have qualified in the National level test for a research fellowship conducted by the UGC/CSIR/ICMR.
2. Those applicants with a NET JRF qualification and completing M.Sc. during April, 2011 and whose results will be declared during May 2011 are also eligible to apply.
3. Registered Ph.D. students in the HCU working with the PI’s of the IRTG-MCGS program are also eligible to apply.
4. The students should obtain the financial support only through the NET fellowship.
5. Candidates should provide the proof of their valid passport at the time of interview. Please submit a hard copy of your application with a covering letter, giving CV, and academic qualifications, copies of certificates, proof of NET qualifying examination and available marks and a statement on your interest in the field of Glyco-Sciences.

The last date for receipt of completed applications is 20th April, 2011.
