ALL INDIA ONLINE PRELIMINARY COMPETITIVE EXAMINATION FOR DIRECT RECRUITMENT TO THE POSTS OF ASSISTANTS AT ICAR HQ AND ITS RESEARCH INSTITUTES-2011
The Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board (ASRB) will hold on an online competitive preliminary examination in June – July 2011 for recruitment to the posts of Assistants in the Pay Scale of Rs 9300-34800 + Rs 4600 and Rs 4200 (Grade Pay) at ICAR HQ and its Research Institutes. The preliminary examination will be conducted in accordance with the rules issued by the Council.

3. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:-
Candidate must be a Graduate from a recognized University.
4. AGE LIMIT:-
Minimum: 20 years and Maximum: 27 years. Relaxations as per rules will be available.
5. FEE: The fee structure is as follows:
Fee, if payment is made online: Rs 1000/- (Rs. One Thousand only)
Fee, if payment is made offline: Rs 1500/- (Rs. One Thousand Five Hundred only)
Fee exemptions to SC/ST/PD/Women candidates will be available as per rules.

A. Preliminary Exam (Objective Type): Max Marks: 200 Time: 2 Hours

Quantitative Analysis including Arithmetic
NOTE:
1. There will be total of 100 (one hundred) questions which will be attempted on line.
2. One mark will be deducted for two wrong answers.
3. Question paper for both the parts in Preliminary Exam will be set in both in English
and Hindi except at part relating to English Comprehension.
B. Main Exam (Descriptive Type): Max Marks: 200 Time: 3 Hours
(Main Examination will be taken only by candidates qualifying the Preliminary Examination)
