TRAINING ON BASIC MOLECULAR BIOLOGY TECHNIQUES

SCOPE OF TRAINING
Molecular biology methods are an integral part of modern day life-science research. It provides a foundation for work in the fields of genomics, biotechnology, microbiology, cell biology, molecular diagnostics and therapeutics.
The objective of this training course is to provide the participants with an exposure to basic molecular biology techniques applied in various contemporary research areas. Experts from academics will be involved as resource persons. Experiments will be conducted in small groups under the expert supervision. Practical demonstrations and lectures related to different experiments will be the part of workshop.

ELIGIBILITY AND SELECTION CRITERIA
Students of B.Sc/ B.Tech/ B.Pharm./ B.VSc, Bachelor of Forensic Sciences/ M.B.B.S/ M. D./ M.Sc/ M.Tech/M. Pharm/ M.VSc /Research scholars/ Faculty/ Industrial personnel
NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS
Only 20 candidates will be short-listed. The selection will be based on first-come first-serve basis.
The selected candidates will be informed by email on or before 17th June 2011.
COURSE FEES
• ` 5,500 for students and research scholars
• ` 7,500 for faculty members and industrial personnel
• ` 7,500 for faculty members and industrial personnel
ACCOMMODATION
CHARUSAT will provide local hospitality to the participants. The accommodation will be provided on sharing basis on request (free of cost). Accommodation for girls will be arranged in the on-campus girl’s hostel
