Admission Notice for M. Tech. and Ph. D programs 2011-12 of DTU
Delhi Technological University (DTU) has been established by Govt. of Delhi by upgrading the erstwhile Delhi College of Engineering vide Delhi Act 6 of 2009 which has come in force with effect from July 15, 2009 with its notification in the official gazette. DTU is committed to attract best of minds for its faculty & students, ensure high academic standards and encourage research & innovation in areas of relevance to industry and society. Applications are invited for admission to the following Post Graduate programs under the University for the session 2011-12. Total number of seats full time, part time and sponsor available in each course are indicated below:
M.Tech. PROGRAMS:
MTech. (Bio-informatics)
Intake – 16 SeatsSponsor – 05 Seats
Eligibility: For admission to full time course a valid GATE score is essential. The application form and details regarding eligibility for each course are uploaded on the website: www.dce.edu. Separate application forms must be submitted for courses offered by each department. The reservation for SC/ST/OBC category will be as per the approved policy of the Government of Delhi.
Ph.D PROGRAMS:
Ph.D Programs are offered in the following academic departments:
Civil & Environmental Engineering/ Electrical Engineering/ Electronics & Communication Engineering/ Mechanical & Production Engineering/ Computer Engineering/ Information Technology/ Polymer Science & Chemical Technology/ Bio-technology Engineering/ Applied Chemistry/ Applied Mathematics/ Applied Physics/ Management and Humanities.

The number of scholarships/seats available for the academic session 2011-2012 is 10. Scholarships are admissible as per rules of the University.
The applicants shortlisted for Ph. D Program are required to appear in the Entrance examination and those applicants who will qualify in the entrance examination will be allowed to appear in the interview. No TA/DA is admissible for interview. Exemption from appearance in the entrance examination shall be as per the Ph. D ordinance of the University, the details of which are available on the website www.dce.edu. NET qualified candidates having UGC/CSIR Scholarship can also be considered for admission to full-time Ph. D programs. This would be in addition to the number of scholarships/seats mentioned above.
The application form can be downloaded from DTU website www.dce.edu and the duly filled application form be submitted in the University along-with a demand draft of Rs. 1,000/- on or before the last date of receipt of completed application form.
The Demand Draft should be drawn in favour of “Registrar, Delhi Technological University”, payable at “Delhi”.

Note 1: The list of the shortlisted candidates for interview for admissions to M. Tech. programs will be displayed on the DTU website: www.dce.edu on 28.06.2011. No separate call letter will be dispatched. The shortlisted candidates are advised to make their own arrangements for travelling and lodging.
Note 2: The application form received after the last date will not be considered under any circumstances.
Note 3: Incomplete/late received Applications are likely to be rejected.
