Biozone Research Technologies is a Chennai based Biosciences training, research and manufacturing entity, established in the year 2008 to cater to the needs of the Life Sciences Industry and academia. We have been conducting training and providing projects in different modules of Biology for the past four years and have been successful in leaving an impression on young minds. The Monthly workshop series is an initiative by Biozone to train students and researchers in various fields of Biology, inspite of their regular classes and commitments.

Biozone, through this workshop, plans to take the students on a conceptual journey into the world of Bioinformatics, enroute explaining the tools and softwares which will aid in realising the potential of biology, to the budding researchers. An upcoming field, Bioinformatics aims at compiling the biological data generated in wet lab research, and in manipulating invitro results insilico, which lessens the burden on the researcher, by cutting down the financial and time constraints.

COURSE HIGHLIGHTS

• Expert lectures with emphasis on application of tools
• Hands on training in Bioinformatics softwares
• The concepts will be supported by hands on practical training session. During the practical session, various online and standalone resources and software will be used.

Eligibility: Students pursuing B.Sc./M.Sc./B.Tech/M.Tech in any branch of Life Sciences.

Number of Participants: 16.

Fees: The total fees is Rs.1250/- (Inclusive of Lunch, Course Material & Certificate)

Accommodation, in case required, will have to be arranged by the participants.
